A turkey with a fan of feathers waiting to be filled in. A table with too much food on it. A list of things to be thankful for, with room to draw them. Thanksgiving colouring is mostly about the waiting — the bit between arriving and eating, when children need something to do.

The Kids’ Table, Solved
Every Thanksgiving has a stretch of ninety minutes where the food is not ready and the children have run out of things to do. Printing a stack of these the night before is the cheapest fix available.
Put them out with a tin of crayons rather than handing them round. Children who would refuse an assigned activity will pick one up on their own within about four minutes.
Thanksgiving Pages Worth Printing
- Turkeys — the feathers are the whole point. A big fan of separate shapes is unusually satisfying to fill.
- Colour by number — keeps older children busy far longer than a plain page, and quietly rehearses number recognition.
- Dot-to-dot — counting to thirty with a turkey at the end of it.
- Turkey life cycle — egg to poult to full fan. Genuinely interesting, and it answers the question children actually ask at this time of year.
- Gratitude sheets — space to write or draw what they are thankful for. These end up on fridges and get kept.
In the Classroom Before the Break
The last week. Attention is gone by the Wednesday. A themed page keeps the room calm without pretending anyone is going to learn long division.
A gratitude display. The written sheets make a wall that parents genuinely stop to read at pick-up.
Mixed-age groups. The bold turkeys and the colour by number sets sit side by side, so a class or a family with a five-year-old and a nine-year-old can both be occupied.
How to Print These Thanksgiving Coloring Pages
Every page is a free PDF formatted for US Letter and A4 at 300 dpi. Click any thumbnail to open and print.
Print more than you think you need — Thanksgiving pages get worked through faster than usual because there are more children in the house than usual. Draft quality is fine.
